Stephanie Jean Lane is an accomplished actor, director, and teacher based in New York City. Since graduating with her BA in Theatre from Barnard College and her MFA from NYU’s Graduate Acting program, she has performed on both international stages—in cities like Edinburgh and Shanghai—and around the United States. Stephanie was a long-time cast member of Sleep No More, an immersive adaptation of Macbeth, and has performed at Shakespeare Theatre Company, The Guthrie Theater, Barrington Stage Company, Berkshire Theatre Group, and Elm Shakespeare in various productions. Her on-camera credits include NBC’s Law & Order and CBS’s Elementary. Stephanie also writes and directs original work for stage and film, including Fort Trumbull, an award-winning short film she wrote, directed, and produced—filmed in her hometown of Milford, CT. With experience as an acting, movement, and voice coach at New York Film Academy, Stephanie creates safe spaces for her students’ innate brilliance to shine through.
