In the Fall of 2017, Heroic Public Speaking became the official coaching partner for TEDxCambridge: one of the oldest, most respected, and largest TEDx events in the world.

Heroic Public Speaking helps both beginning and experienced public speakers stop speaking and start performing. Co-founders Michael and Amy Port built a series of programs and events, teaching how to apply the intensive training they’ve cultivated through their years as professional actors.

Within the public speaking industry, we curate and train coaches in performance, writing, movement, voice, and more. They are some of the best coaches in the world.

And that means that anyone chosen to speak at a TEDxCambridge event gets to work with our faculty. Yes, TEDxCambridge speakers work with a writing coach, a performance coach, a voice coach ... we even have a specialist who is able to make academic work sound more accessible for a wider audience. There is no other TED, TEDx, or similar event that has such a comprehensive training and coaching program for its speakers; it's one of the things that makes TEDxCambridge so very unique.

2019 promises to be a spectacular TEDXCambridge event as we celebrate it’s 10th anniversary. 2,500 people will fill the Boston Opera House on May 3, 2019 as six speakers share their ideas worth spreading on the Main Stage. Throughout the rest of 2019, highly-curated Salons will take place focusing on making an even deeper impact. Check out more about the events and register here.

Geoffrey H. Garrett, a senior attorney at Byrd Garrett Wealth Preservation, said: “As a military pilot and B-747 captain over a forty-year career, I received every kind of skill-specific training and encountered every sort of teacher.
