When You Attend Heroic Public Speaking LIVE, You Will Become a Dramatically Better Performer On and Off the Stage

Learn how to rehearse like the pros—rehearsal is the key to success and if you don’t know how to do it right, you won’t do it at all. And if you don’t do it all … you’ll be doing yourself and your audience a disservice.

You’ll learn how to give a performance - not a speech - so you get a rousing round of applause whenever you’re done, and you’ll get rave reviews from the entire room, time and time again.

Have full command of your audience. They’ll hang on your every word, even if they don’t know you from Adam. Get them doing what you want, when you want.

Sound big, bold and powerful using voice techniques known by only the best-trained actors and singers.

Find your own special, unique and exciting speaking style. Not everyone is Tony Robbins (nor should they be). But you can't turn in a Meryl Streep quality speech when you’re standing in one place and speaking softly.

Leverage the “rules” of high-level performance and know which rules to break – and HOW to break them for maximum effect.

Earn love and respect from the audience BEFORE YOU EVEN SET FOOT ON STAGE. After all, if they don’t like you from the get-go, you’ve got a lot of catching up to do.

Make every audience member an important part of the story, whether you’ve got 4 or 4,000 people in the room. When they’re fully invested, they’ll play full out … and make more investments.

Handle nerves so you’re confident and compelling.

Get a standing ovation EVERY SINGLE TIME. Seriously. No joke.

… And You Will MASTER
the Art & Science of Content Creation

Feedback from the thousands of participants who have been through our public speaking training has showed us that content creation—or working out WHAT to say—is one of their biggest challenges.

That’s why, at Heroic Public Speaking LIVE, you’ll learn how to:

Create a winning combination of scripting and outlining so your structure flows effortlessly and you never forget where you are—and if you do, it’ll be easy to get right back on track.

Remove the most important parts of your speech, so that your audience can fill in the gaps and make your story come alive for them.

Craft speeches without PowerPoint to create room for pre-planned spontaneous improvisation.

Understand and use ethical, emotional and logical persuasion tactics to move audiences to take action.

Source stories that will flow within the context of your speech, each one with a payoff that satisfies and delights your adoring fans.

Use Hollywood secrets to craft compelling cliffhangers so that your audience doesn’t have any choice but to give you their undivided attention.

I have only given two very small presentations to chambers. I knew this was my key to growing my business and making a difference in other people's business. Michael and Amy continued to blow me away every day of the event. What struck me the most were all the tiny tactical changes and concepts for big changes. I now see myself as a speaker and am excited for bigger events. Because I put myself out there, I've already booked a larger gig. And the community is amazing. No pushing business cards into my face, promoting their businesses, just honest and genuine caring and helping. I go to tons of conferences. This is the MBA of conferences. I feel like I've found my people. It has made me want to step into the spotlight and lead a bigger life.

Michael Port

Michael Port has written six books, including Book Yourself Solid and Steal the Show, the latter which—according to the former President of Starbucks—“might be the most unique and practical book ever written on the topic of public speaking.”

He's been called an “uncommonly honest author" by the Boston Globe, a "marketing guru" by The Wall Street Journal, a “sales guru” by the Financial Times, “a public speaking phenom” by Jonathan Fields and “the best public speaking coach in the world” by Lewis Howes. The founder of MastermindTalks, Jayson Gaignard, declared, "Michael Port is the best speaker I've ever seen."

His books have been on the bestseller lists of the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today and Publisher's Weekly and have been selected by Amazon and 800-CEO-READ as "best books of the year."

He was once a professional actor, having received his MFA from NYU's Graduate Acting Program, guest starring on shows like Sex & The City and Law & Order, and in films like The Pelican Brief and Down to Earth. These days, Michael can be seen on MSNBC, CNBC, and PBS as an on air expert in communication and business development and as the host of the most popular podcast on public speaking and performance, Steal the Show with Michael Port.

Amy Port

Amy Port is the Co-Founder and President of Heroic Public Speaking; her work extends from the execution of corporate training packages, to development of CEO keynotes, private master classes and coaching.

After earning her MFA in Acting from The Yale School of Drama, Amy spent years acting professionally in theaters such as Seattle Repertory, Oregon Shakespeare and Yale Rep, and working consistently in commercials. She now applies the skills of performance that only well-trained actors know to the coaching of ‘non-actors’ looking to crush their sales presentations, to make their voices heard in TED Talk style presentations, and to take the big stage keynoting major conferences.

Geoffrey H. Garrett, a senior attorney at Byrd Garrett Wealth Preservation, said: “As a military pilot and B-747 captain over a forty-year career, I received every kind of skill-specific training and encountered every sort of teacher. I consider Amy to be, hands down, the best trainer-coach I have ever met. I cannot recommend her services highly enough."

This was the agenda from LIVE 2017.
We will update the new agenda later in 2018.

Arrive at 7:15 - 7:30 for REGISTRATION. Those early to sign in get the best seats in the theater, and you’ll want to sit as close to the stage as possible. After all, the first few rows are reserved for VIP seating, so general attendees clamor to get up close & personal.

Before our first session, you’ll be treated to some group VOICE COACHING from D’Arcy Webb, our Head of Voice Training. D’Arcy teaches people how to speak with command so that audiences will pay attention to your message. After all, you have a story to tell, and D’Arcy will help you be heard.

Then, watch PUBLIC PERFORMANCE COACHING FROM MICHAEL AND AMY. (Want to get coached, live on stage? Grab a VVIP ticket.)

HPS Senior Performance faculty member Mike Ganino brings his experience from some of the top improv stages across the US to help you rethink your idea of “winging” your performance. Learn how to create content on your feet--this is especially good if you feel bogged down staring at a laptop screen, hoping for brilliance to come through.

No matter what your message is, you will need a range of emotions to engage your audience. Learn how to pick stories that are appropriate for your message so that you have a balance of material that’ll keep your audience engaged throughout your performances.

There will be lunch and a couple of breaks in between that. After we’re done, we’ll gather back together to see...

Learn the science behind the Heroic Public Speaking content creation model, so that you have a surefire way of culling through and structuring your speech in a way that is compelling and action-driven.

Prepare to then have your world rocked and sides split when you experience comedian Ron Tite’s workshop. This is a surefire way to charm even your toughest of audiences. Yes, you too can make people laugh, even if you don’t consider yourself to be a funny person.

Join our INFORMAL NETWORKING EVENT afterward so that you can meet others to book gigs, form rehearsal groups, and initiate lifelong friendships.

Or choose the “VIP ticket” option and join us at our VIP DINNER. Our business panelists will be dining with us, along with many other top-notch speakers. It’s a great way to get to know successful people in the industry.

    Then, you’ll sleep.

Yes, really. You’ll need some energy for the second day.

Rise and shine. We’ll start day two with:

Yes, D’Arcy leads vocal warm-ups every single day. Rehearsal and consistency are key elements to a successful speaking career.

After getting our pipes in order, watch Amy and Michael present the next workshops. The first one wasn’t a fluke. Watch how the transformation happens right on stage with slight tweaks.

A successful performance is always achieved through effective rehearsal. Talent can only get you so far; here you learn the tools to backup your talent. Let’s face it: if you don’t know how to rehearse, you’ll have to live with that nagging thought: I know could have done so much better.

Stephen Covey had the Four Quadrants. Simon Sinek has circles inside of circles. Maslow has the Hierarchy of Needs (in fact, the model is so synonymous with Maslow that it’s consistently referred to as Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs). Want to hit the big time? Well, then you need to develop unique and proprietary contextual models. Neen James is a powerhouse expert in this, and she’ll teach you how to set yourself apart by using visual aids to create a snapshot of your intellectual property.

...Then go enjoy lunch. We don’t want you to be hangry.

Feel like you should have splurged on dessert after lunch? Let us treat you with this sweet, calorie-free session.

If you’ve been wowed by the transformation of our VVIPs, you’ll be completely blown away to watch what we can do in 5 minutes when we pull attendees (perhaps you?) on the stage for micro-sessions. Implementing small, tangible changes will have massive impact on your long-term speaking goals.

Did you miss the networking event the first night?

Not a worry—catch one tonight (or, better yet, go to both and double your connections).

No need for coffee; this masterclass will perk you up by its powerful transformation.

Michael will guide you through how to handle even the toughest and gruffest of audiences so that you . You’ll learn to transform any “boo” to “boo-yah!”

Again, the magic on stage. Except it’s not magic. It’s real life, and it’s real rehearsal time.

Stock up on energy and good conversations with new friends at one final lunch together.

In extension to the daily vocal warm-ups, watch as D’Arcy Webb showcases major changes in speech technique. As a faculty member at The Philadelphia University of the Arts and at Heroic Public speaking, D’Arcy will teach powerful and long-lasting shortcuts for public speakers.

We love a good panel of experts. Receive a slew of insight and advice from pros that have been in the public speaking industry for years (some even decades). These experts have forgotten more about the business of speaking than most people know.

We’ll end the day around 4:00, exhausted and exhilarated, your brain spinning with contention and performance ideas.

Throughout the event, we’ll introduce you to other budding public speakers just like you who’ve mastered the rehearsal process, been getting paid speaking gigs, and are Heroic Public Speakers.

You know you want to join. Yes, we can feel your fingers scrolling to the registration page.

My family said they can hear a difference in how I sound. Considering that I've already changed a lot from Toastmasters, this shows how much more I've gained in 3 days. I was surprised and pleased to hear that my time with ‪Heroic Public Speaking LIVE already shows noticeable benefit.

This isn’t your smalltown smokey alley; with comfy couches, swanky cocktails, and pool tables galore, there are moments a-plenty to ask anything and everything you’ve wanted to know about the public speaking industry and performance.

Challenge Michael to ping pong or mingle with panelists, asking a questions you might not have the opportunity to ask while they’re on stage.

Don’t be drop the ball on this opportunity … especially if it’s a bowling ball. Ouch.

Listen. When we release a block of available tickets, it might be your only time to get your hands on them. Really, they go faster than a plate of chocolate chip cookies. So, get on it now, or no cookies for you. Reserving your ticket only takes 2 minutes. No hidden charges or fees. AII speaking goodness.
