Heroic Public Speaking (HPS) is considered by many to be the preeminent keynote Speaker training company in the world. We're a small company with headquarters in Lambertville, NJ, and were founded by a husband and wife team.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Heroic Public Speaking is searching for a talented Graphic Design Associate to manage our visual brand and create new brand assets. You’ll work closely with the co-founders, the Marketing Director, and various team members as needed to identify design project outcomes. Then you’ll manage, execute, and complete these important projects with confidence and grace. We’ll support, advise, nurture, encourage, and inspire you every step of the way.

YOUR SPECIFIC CONTRIBUTIONS

  • Design graphics for websites, including creating wireframes, mockups, podcast art, landing pages, opt-in forms, and more.
  • Design social media assets across channels.
  • Design logos, styles and assets across our programs such as our GRAD and Referable Speaker courses.
  • Design printed collateral such as handouts, posters, forms, cards, and more.
  • Create merchandise designs for clothing, hats, mugs, notebooks, journals, and other items.
  • Lead and implement company design projects large and small, including the most critical and transformational projects.
  • Design and document standard operating procedures, project plans, and systems that improve design project and process workflow, as well as outcomes.
  • Be the design representative on a multi-disciplinary team.

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and techniques, including UX, and continuously develop your skills as a designer.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with our team of writers, developers, and marketers to ensure that designs are integrated into our overall marketing and branding efforts.
  • Communicate design concepts and ideas to team members, and incorporate feedback to refine designs.
  • Manage the execution of design projects using a prescribed work process and appropriate tools and techniques.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years experience designing both digital and print media.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including websites, printed collateral, and other design projects.
  • Proficiency in Canva, Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Knowledge of current design trends and techniques, and ability to apply them in a creative and effective manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Some experience applying an evolving brand system with creativity and consistency.

SALARY

Salary for this position is in the range of $60,000 to $75,000, depending on experience level, plus health and retirement benefits that increase your total compensation well above your base salary.

WORK LOCATION AND TRAVEL

This role is predominantly remote. However, you may occasionally need to travel to our headquarters, located in Lambertville, NJ, for collaborative team meetings and events.
