Performance Faculty

Mary Ellen Garner is an award-winning actor, improviser, and educator based in Los Angeles. She received her MFA from Florida State University Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training, and has trained with Second City Chicago, William Esper Acting Studio NYC, Groundlings LA, Moscow Art Theatre Cambridge, MA, and with world-renowned vocal expert Patsy Rhodenburg of London’s National Theatre. Mary Ellen teaches at California School for the Arts, where her students have booked national commercials and recurring roles on major streaming services. It brings her joy to witness those she’s worked with become fully present, engaged, authentic storytellers.
